Purpose of the Stock Pitch Competition
The current state of financial markets is one of great complexity as we
continue to witness unpredictable market volatility. The MII Stock Pitch Competition is a student-led initiative designed to serve as the premier undergraduate forum for students from the nation’s top business programs to exchange market insight and learn from industry professionals. This event will take the form of a two-day conference centered on a stock pitch competition that will be judged by leading market experts. In addition, a goal of this event is to bring premier undergraduate investment organizations together to facilitate communication and the exchange of ideas. This interaction will improve student investment organizations by allowing participants to bring back new ideas and initiatives to their respective universities.
Stock Pitch Competition
The Stock Pitch Competition will be a two-round competition in which teams of two or three students will present a pre-selected investment idea. In the first round, each team will have ten minutes to present, followed by a five minute question and answer session. The top four teams will advance to the final round in which they will be required to make a second fifteen minute presentation followed by a ten minute question and answer session. Teams advancing to the final round will compete for the chance to win the grand prize of $3,000.
